Communication Logging

Serial Flux can record communication activity to a log file so transmitted and received data can be saved for later review. Logging is useful for long-running tests, troubleshooting intermittent problems, documenting device behavior, and preserving communication sessions that may need to be examined after testing is complete. Combined with timestamps and connection aliases, log data can help identify when an event occurred and which connected device was involved. Logging can be started when needed during a session and stopped when the desired capture is complete.
