CAN Interface Firmware

Serial Flux CAN Coyote X7 uses the Serial Flux open-source CAN firmware protocol for supported STM32F072C8 CAN interface devices. Customers do not choose between different application protocols such as candleLight or slcan. A particular device may, however, have multiple hardware-specific builds when different board revisions connect LEDs to different STM32 GPIO pins. Source code and documentation are available from the Serial Flux firmware project on GitHub.

Current hardware generation: The supported firmware targets STM32F072C8-based classic CAN interfaces. These devices do not support CAN FD. STM32G431 and STM32G0Bx CAN FD support is a separate future firmware project.
Before flashing: The STM32 must be placed into its USB DFU bootloader. Depending on the adapter, this may require a BOOT jumper, BOOT button, or direct access to the BOOT/BOOT0 signal. Some electronics knowledge may be required.
